Day 1: Lima
Arrival in Lima. Reception and transfer to your hotel.Day 2: Lima - Cuzco - Sacred Valley (B)
Early flight to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Incas. Transfer to the Urubamba, the sacred valley of the Incas. Overnight accommodation in the Sacred Valley.Day 3: Sacred Valley (B & L)
After breakfast, visit to the ancient Inca market of Pisac followed by lunch before continuing the tour to Ollantaytambo, site of the last undefeated bastion of the Inca Empire. Overnight in the Sacred Valley. (photo: Sacred Valley of the Incas).
Day 4: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu (B)
Early train journey to Aguas Calientes for a full day's guided tour of Machu Picchu, the most spectacular ancient city in the world. Free time before overnight accommodation in Aguas Calientes.Day 5: Machu Picchu - Cuzco (B)
Opportunity to revisit Machu Picchu (entrance tickets not included today). Free day before returning to Cuzco aboard the afternoon train. Accommodation in the Inca capital. (photo: machupicchu)
Day 6: Cuzco (B)
Free morning at leisure. A guided tour of Cuzco will include visits to the Main Cathedral, the Main Square, Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay and the Qoricancha temple. Overnight accommodation.Day 7. Cuzco - amazon rainforest (b, l & d)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Puerto Maldonado. Reception at the airport and transfer to your lodge. Afternoon excursions including a guided walk along one of the trails close to the lodge where you may see superb examples of bird and insect life. Take a boat ride along the Madre de Dios River to see the change in the environment as twilight gives way to darkness. Animals and birds are replaced by special species adapted to the darkness, such as nightjars, owls, capybara, and caiman. (Capybara)
Day 8. Amazon rainforest (b, l & d)
Wake up early to observe the sun rise over the Madre de Dios River before the five-minute boat ride takes you to the Canopy Interpretation Centre where you can ascend the first tower, 45 metres (150 feet) above the forest floor. Spend time to see giant strangler fig trees, orchids, toucans, woodpeckers, trogons, and with luck, monkeys or a three-toed sloth. We will then embark on a 40-minute boat ride that takes you to the Tambopata National Reserve. Spend an hour-and-a-half walking the 3 km. (1.8 mile) trail through the wildlife-rich reserve, and you will arrive at the breathtaking oxbow lake called Lake Sandoval. (PHOTO: Lake Sandoval )
Day 9. Amazon rainforest - cuzco (b)
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and return by boat to Puerto Maldonado, an hour and a half upriver. Assistance with your luggage, prior to boarding your flight to Cuzco. Arrival and private transfer to your hotel.
Day 10: Cuzco - Puno (B & L)
Departure by tourist bus to Puno visiting en route several Inca ruins and the remains of the great Viracocha temple, Raqchi. We shall also stop at the highest point along the way, La Raya before arriving to Puno and transferring to your hotel for overnight accommodation. (photo: Raqchi)
Day 11: Lake Titicaca (B & L)
After breakfast, transfer to the port for the boat trip on Lake Titicaca to the reed islands of Uros. A visit to the Aymara island of Taquile, lunch on the islands cooked and served by the island inhabitants, before returning in the afternoon to Puno. Overnight accommodation. (photo: Titicaca lake)
Day 12. Juliaca - lima - rio de janeiro (b)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Lima and your connecting flight to Rio de Janeiro (international flight times vary and we cannot guarantee exact time until ticketing)

After breakfast, a full day visit of the "marvelous city" including a sightseeing tour to Sugar Loaf Mountain. A two-stage cable car takes you to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain where you will enjoy a splendid view of Rio, Copacabana Beach, and Guanabara Bay. Continue onto visit to Corcovado, the mountain home to the world famous, Christo de Redentor statue for a magnificent 360° panoramic view of Rio. Return to your hotel. (Photo: Copacaba Beach)
Day 15: Rio De Janeiro (B)
Free day to explore Rio, the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema.Day 16: Rio De Janeiro - Iguazu Falls ( B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Iguazu. Arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel. Free day.
Day 17. Iguazu falls (b)
After breakfast, pick up at 09.00 for an excursion to the fabulous UNESCO World Heritage Iguazu falls, the most voluminous falls in the world and more than three times the width of the Niagara Falls. The falls lie on the three borders of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Return to your hotel. (photo: Iguazu falls )
Day 18. Iguazu falls (b)
After breakfast, free day. (option to visit the Argentinian side of the falls for an additional US$95 per person) Return to your hotel.
Day 19. Iguazu - sao paulo (b)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Sao Paulo and your connecting flight home.
