DAY 1 - Thursday Arrival in Quito

Be welcome at your arrival to the International airport "Mariscal Sucre", assistance with your luggage and transfer to your hotel Overnight at Hotel Dann Carlton.

DAY 2 - Friday Quito
  • Known as the "Andean Shangri-la" or the "Florence of America", touching its brilliant blue sky at 2800 meters above sea level, Quito was the first city to be declared by UNESCO a World Cultural Heritage Site, in recognition of its historic, architectonic and artistic value.
  • The City's Historical Center, the largest and best preserved in Latin America, displays on its centuries old narrow streets, plazas, churches, monasteries and monuments a superb fusion of cultures and artistic styles which fascinates visitors and represents an unparalleled historic jewel.
  • A visit to the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo is part of this spectacular visit; this convent has the best exhibition of architectural and religious art in the colonial city.
  • In approximately two hours, the passenger will have the opportunity to be delighted by the delicate and unusual beauty of this colonial Convent.
  • Treasures as the Chapels of El Rosario and Pompeya whose walls and columns are decorated in gold with an original blend of vegetable and anthropomorphic figures are a vivid example of the world famous Quito School of Art.
  • The Convent of Santo Domingo displays colossal doors and ceilings covered with oil paintings and gold leaf; it takes us back in time and dazzled us with its supreme beauty.
  • At the end, if time permits, drive to the hill of Panecillo for a panoramic view of the city. Overnight at Hotel Dann Carlton.

 

DAY 3 - 7 / Saturday – Wednesday - The Galapagos Islands aboard MV GALAPAGOS EXPLORER

Enjoy 5 days/4 nights cruise on board Galapagos Explorer II. SATURDAY TO WEDNESDAY

At proper time transfer from hotel to airport in order to take the regular flight to the Galapagos Islands.

Arrival to Baltra Airport, transport to the Galapagos Explorer II.

DAY 04: Sunday

AM: Bartholomew Island.
PM: Puerto Egas, Santiago Island.

DAY 05: Monday

AM: Punta Espinoza, Fernandina Island.
PM: Punta Vicente Roca, Isabela Island.

AM: Seymour Norte.
PM: Highlands and Lava Tunnels, Sta. Cruz Island.

DAY 07: Wednesday

AM: Lobería or Islas Lobos or Tijeretas or El Junco visit or Interpretation Center, San Cristobal Island **
PM: Transport to the Pto. Baquerizo Moreno Airport.

Transfer to airport in order to take the regular flight back to Guayaquil.
Arrival, assistance and transfer in Guayaquil from airport to hotel. Overnight at Oro Verde Hotel.

DAY 8 - Thursday - Guayaquil/Lima

Transfer from hotel to airport in order to take international departure flight. Upon your arrival in Lima you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight - Sol de Oro Suites Apart Hotel – Junior Suite.

DAY 9 - Friday - Lima/Cusco: City tour & nearby ruins

  • Buffet breakfast.

  • Coricancha or Temple of the SunTransfer to Lima airport.

  • Arrival in Cusco. Meet and assist.

  • The tour will show you the amazing colonial city built on the foundations of the Inca palaces. You will visit the Coricancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the incredible masonry of the Incas, the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral with its carved woodworks, altars and paintings. Then you will be driven to the Inca fortress of Sacsahuamán, to the underground cave and temple of Kenko and to Tambomachay, known as the Baths of the Inca. Overnight - Novotel Cusco.

DAY 10 - Saturday - Machu Picchu

  • Buffet breakfast.

  • Machu PicchuTransfer to Poroy train station.

  • After a 3-hour and 40 minutes trip, you will arrive to Aguas Calientes train station in Machu-Picchu where you will be transported by bus to the top of the mountain and citadel of Machu-Picchu, one of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture, surrounded by lush cloud forest. Lost in history, it was not discovered until 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham. After a guided visit of the ruins, you will have a self-service lunch at a local restaurant.

  • At scheduled time, you will train back to Cuzco. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight - Novotel Cusco.

DAY 11 - Cusco/Lima: City tour

  • Buffet breakfast.

  • Larco marco City tour Lima

  • Transfer to Cusco airport.

  • Upon arrival to Lima, meet and transfer to your hotel.

  • This afternoon, our guided visit to Lima allows you to see the Historical Center: Plaza Mayor ("Main Square"), the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the City Hall and old streets with colonial mansions and Moorish balconies. You will also visit the San Francisco Convent, which has the most magnificent monumental collection of colonial art in America. The tour will continue through the most traditional residential areas of Lima which include San Isidro, Miraflores and Larco Mar, a stop of international thematic attractions which offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. DAY 12 - Lima
